2011 - Higher Options Conference & Exhibition

Every year since 1986, ’The Irish Times’ in partnership with the ‘Institute of Guidance Counsellors’ is organizing an exhibition for Leaving Cert students named “Higher Options Conference & Exhibition”.

The ‘Higher Options’ provides information on entry procedures to third level colleges in Ireland and the United Kingdom but also in Europe and worldwide. With an average of 25,000 visitors over a period of three days and the presence of more than 180 institutions, ‘Higher Options Conference’ is the largest exhibition of its kind in Ireland.

Many career talks and lectures are offered covering topics such as the options on offer in third level education, the admissions systems of the Central Applications Office - CAO and the Universities & Colleges Admissions Service - UCAS, the various alternative routes to third level higher education, or how to choose a career and to cope with student life.

The cultural and scientific section of the French Embassy in Ireland and the Alliance Française Dublin will be present with a stand at this year’s exhibition in order to promote both studies in France and French courses available locally and thus encourage long term cooperation between France and Ireland (Stand # 150 next to the organizers : Irish Times).

The exhibition runs from September 14 to 16 in the Main Hall and Shelbourne Hall of the Royal Dublin Society - RDS, from 9 a.m to 3 p.m.

A random draw will be made at the end of the exhibition to offer to one of the visitor a semester of french courses organized by the Alliance Française of Dublin.

Everyone is welcomed !
