A 20.000 € scholarship for an Irish surgeon [fr]
SOFCOT, French society of Orthopedic Surgery & Traumatology, grants a scholarship to foreign orthopedic surgeons to go to France. Surgeon have to be under 40 years old or in training. The grant covers a maximum duration of 12 months and surgeons can be involved in patient care, depending on the agreement with the receiving institution.
The scholarship is awarded according to the candidates’ curriculum. Candidates are selected according to their research, their grades, the recommendation letters by the Head Physicians, from the head and receiving institutions, their level of French (attested by a certificate of French from the French Embassy), the detailed programme of the their stay and their work project.
Dr. Derek Crawley’s 12-month scholarship started of 15th August 2016 and will end on the 14th August 2017. He does his training in Hospital Pellegrin Orthopedic unit.
