Blue Star Programme : Boolavogue National School visits the French Residence !

As part of the Blue Star Programme, an education initiative for primary school students across Ireland to foster better understanding and knowledge of the European Union ; French Ambassador Jean-Pierre Thébault has welcomed more than 80 pupils of Boolavogue National School last 8th of June at the French Residence, Ailesbury Road, Dublin.

This was the occasion to tell students the history of this House which was built in the late XIX century and bought by the French government in 1930. It was also a cultural moment as the Ambassador told the pupils the history of several of the pieces of art that can be found in the house.

The children were able to enjoy French food and lemonade while waiting for each group to visit the Residence.

This day was organized to thank the National School of Boolavogue for its warm welcome during the Ambassador’s visit in May. Sharing our culture and education is our main goal. Once again, the Ambassador and all the Embassy team thanks Boolavogue School for this cheerful moment.
