Electronic Music & Metamorphosis: France @ the Dublin Dance Festival

Don’t miss your chance to experience the best of contemporary dance over the coming weeks! The Dublin Dance Festival starts this Friday and two French shows are among the highlights of this year’s programme: "Sunny" by Emanuel Gat and "Singspiele" by Maguy Marin.

Experience a joyful collision of music and movement! Merging a live concert with gorgeous dance,Sunny is an explosion of ideas, new sounds and exuberant energy. Created by acclaimed choreographer Emanuel Gat and DJ, singer and performer Awir Leon, this uplifting piece is a blast of pleasures, rich in changing moods and colours.

Singspiele by Maguy Marin

Dozens of characters make an appearance in this fascinating one-man show by the fearless and celebrated French choreographer Maguy Marin. Singspiele, described by festival Director Perchet as the "epicentre" of his 2017 programme,is a show about listening, about hearing the stories held behind mute faces and acknowledging our primal need to be recognised.
