Enhanced partnership between INRA and Teagasc
The 84th National Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska were the perfect occasion for France and Ireland to showcase their joint-research projects in the field of agriculture.
From September 23rd to 25th, researchers from both organisations met to discuss common research themes for the coming years.
The seminar presented conclusions on current research and looked at future projects for collaboration on the issues of pastures and dairy products in particular.
Proof of the dense cooperation between the two institutes, Teagasc Director Gerry Boyle and Teagasc Research Director Frank O’Mara attended the seminar.
The two institutions also visited the French Pavilion at the National Ploughing Championships and signed an official joint-declaration for the strengthening of their cooperation in order to encourage joint participation in European programs, such as Horizon2020 and support the co-supervision of theses and the mobility of doctoral students.
