It gathers 19 higher education institutions, networks and research centres including four universities: Université de Montpellier, Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier, Université de Nîmes, Université Perpignan Via-Domitia. Gilles Halbout is the current president of COMUE Languedoc-Rousillon universities.
