Irish Intervarsity Francophone Debates 2018 [fr]

On Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th March 2018, the competition moves to Queen’s University Belfast. Students will challenge their French while debating!

As part of Month of Francophonie, the intervarsity debates in French moves to Queen’s University Belfast on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th March 2018

This year, the debates will follow the theme of ’oralité. This two-day contest will be a fanstastic way of practising French, public speaking and debating skills. Students from accross the island will meet and challenge themselves.

The intervarsity debating weekend will include three rounds of debates followed by a grand final! Each team will consist of two members, with each round of debates consisting of four teams. Two teams will be each motion wile two teams will be against. Each speeking time will be 3-5 minutes per person.

Supporters and general public are welcome!

- Friday March 23rd :
4pm : opening (Main Site Tower)
5-6pm : debating - round 1 (Main Site Tower)
-Saturday March 24th :
10-11am : debating - round 2 (Main Site Tower)
12am-1pm : debating - round (Main Site Tower)
3-4pm : debating- GRAND FINALE (Lanyon building)
