Irish travel documents
Holders of valid Irish Travel Documents (Convention of 28 July 1951) are permitted to enter France for a short stay purpose, without requesting a Schengen visa.
Holders of a valid Irish Travel Document must request a visa to enter France. The visa issued by the Embassy of France in Ireland will be valid only for France.
Since France does not recognise the Travel Document Convention of 28 September 1954, holders of such a Travel Document will not be allowed to enter France.
