Apr 2019 / 4th FICAHT Forum - en route to Paris ! [fr]
All members and partners of the France Ireland scholastic network for Culinary Arts, Hospitality and Tourism (FICAHT) will meet on the 3, 4 and 5th April 2019 in Paris.
Following the agreement signed by the Higher Education Authority (HEA) and Campus France, on the occasion of the French Prime minister’s visit to Ireland in April 2015 in Ireland, the FICAHT network was created to bring together French and Irish institutions specialising in gastronomy, hospitality and tourism (France Ireland scholastic network for Culinary Arts, Hospitality and Tourism - FICAHT).
The FICAHT network, with more than 80 members and partners, aims at developing internship & apprenticeship mobility, offering training in culinary arts, hospitality management and tourism sectors as well as fostering European academic projects (Erasmus+) and facilitating collaborations between academics and industries.
- Wednesday 3rd April, 9am-3pm: Final of the culinary competition Dairy Chef [CFA Médéric, 20 Rue Médéric, 75017 Paris] Only open for tutors of the finalists
- Thursday 4th April, 9am-5pm: Irish and French higher education systems : equivalencies and main evolutions in 2018-2019; Workshops on European fundings and student mobility; networking
- Friday 5th April, 9am-5pm: preparing and supporting student mobility; challenges of tourism in Ireland and France – attractivity outside capital cities; European fundings – good practices [French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, 25 rue de la Montagne-Sainte-Geneviève - 75005 Paris]

The 5th FICAHT Forum will take place from the 31st of March to the 4th of April 2019. It will be hosted by the Galway Mayo Institute of Technology, as part of the Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture.
