THE FRENCH LIBRARY
A large collection of French written material on subject areas such as literature, history, geography, and the arts, as well as a reference/ documentation centre and a children’s library.
Language learning material for students and teachers of the French language with accompanying audio and visual aids.
An information service supplying information on French courses in France, brochures for school projects, tips for students on finding summer employment and help with more specialised queries
A video library with a large selection of French fiction films, and documentaries of cultural and scientific interest
CDs and cassettes of French popular, classical and regional music from Air to Charles Trenet, cultural programmes and books on tape
Le Monde and popular magazines, as well as periodicals on French cinema, geography, history, and current affairs, to name but a few.
A CD-Rom library allows virtual reality tours of French museums, literature and culture, from 2000 years of French history to 2000 recipes of French cuisine !
Reference materials and magazines / newspapers may not be borrowed.
They are reserved for consultation in the library only.
