“Raoul” by James Thiérrée at the Abbey Theatre
With the support of the Cultural Service of the French Embassy in Ireland, the Abbey Theatre brings to Dublin this extraordinary solo theatre piece by James Thiérrée.
Acrobat, clown, poet and magician, James Thiérrée creates a world of endless invention. One of Europe’s most versatile artists, Thiérrée uses his impish talent to transform everyday objects into magical dream-like spectacles that captivate, charm and inspire.
In this solo show, Thiérrée is Raoul, a man without beginning or end, who tumbles through a series of utopian fantasies in which acrobatics, mysterious transformations, music and dance collide – a world which is at once recognisable and yet utterly alien. Raoul is a surprising and daring show in which Thiérrée mischievously teases the audience whilst demonstrating his formidable skills through delightful visual comedy.
A fun show for all the family !
