The 2019 IFI French Film Festival [fr]

JPEGIreland’s largest French Film Festival returns for its 19th edition! Featuring 19 Irish premièresand an eclectic programme, the festival will welcome special guestsCédric Kahn, Claire Burger, Andréa Bescond and Eric Métayer.

Highlights of this year’s festival include Cannes favourite Girl, directed by Lukas Dhont, Agnès Jaoui’s Place publique, Christophe Honoré’s Sorry Angel, Gilles Lellouche’s delightful swimming comedy Sink or Swim, and Camille Vidal-Naquet’s Sauvage.

Inspired by the 50th anniversary of the May 1968 events, the festival presents the full three-hour version of Chris Marker’s seminal documentary A Grin Without A Cat, with the support of the French Embassy and Institut francais.

retrospectiveon Henri-Georges Clouzot  will showcase four of his best-known works: The Raven, The Wages of Fear, Les Diaboliques and The Mystery of Picasso. Presented in partnership with the French Embassy in Ireland and Institut Français.
