This 1st edition of the Symposium is organised in partnership with the French Embassy in Ireland and the IUA (Irish Universities Association).
14 French and 11 Irish institutions met in Dublin and Limerick. The programme included a day of exchanges and sharing of best practices in welcoming international students and 6 visits to institutions.
On Wednesday 21, the symposium participants were warmly welcomed at University College Dublin for a tour of the campus followed by a reception.
Then, on Thursday 22, a time for discussion and debate on good practice in welcoming international students is organised through the symposium. Over the course of the day, the following themes were addressed: interculturality, the welcome chain and sustainable development.
Finally, the French delegation of higher education institutions visited the University of Limerick, the Technological University of the Shannon and Mary Immaculate College on Friday 23.
