Centenary Events in Ireland

In 2014, as part of the commemorations of the First World War, the French Embassy in Ireland with its Irish partners presents a series of events under France’s WWI Centenary Programme.
The WWI Centenrary programme was announced by President Holland, on November 7, 2013.

Exposition "Here in Paradise" dans le Kerry and First International Conference on Jochen Gerz’ works in public spaces (Ireland, France, Germany, Great Britain) in Dublin on 14 and 15 November 2014, with academics and intellectuals from those four countries attending.

Special Screenings of "Apocalypse WWI" A series of 5 episodes produced using over 500 hours of archival footage, much of it previously unseen, to be screened at the National Museum of Ireland, Decorative Arts & History in collaboration with the French Embassy in Ireland. Admission Free. On September 2014.
