French Street Art @ 2021 Waterford Walls Festival [fr]
From August 13th to 22nd, Waterford Walls, Ireland’s largest urban art festival, presents over 100 murals by internationally renowned artists. This year, France will be represented by Beerens, Zabou, Russ and Juliette Viode!
An exciting new part of the festival is the Franco German Irish collaboration which aims to address gender balance in street art and which is reflected in the Festival’s artist line up.
Another focus this year is the new Mentorship and Training programme where experienced artists mentor young emerging Irish artists over the months leading in to the festival in August. These two new strands are presented by Waterford Walls in association with the French Embassy in Ireland and Goethe Institut Irland.
Discover here a special virtual guided tour in French of some iconic walls made as part of Waterford Walls International Street Arts Festival, produced by the Alliance Française Waterford/Wexford.
Waterford Walls is also labelled a EUNIC Ireland project celebrating European Street Art with artists from France, Germany, Spain and Ireland! EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) is a network of European national institutes of culture and national bodies engaged in cultural and related activities beyond their national borders.
