"French.ie", the French portal website has arrived !

The French portal website French.ie was launched in September 2005 by the Minister of Education, Mary Hanafin TD in the presence of the H.E. the French Ambassador Mr Frédéric Grasset.

The site was created by and for French teachers in Ireland and is positioned as part of the broader Scoilnet portal.

The development of the site was initiated by the French Embassy in Ireland and is a product of collaboration between the French Embassy, the NCTE and the Education Department in NUI Maynooth.

Its development emerged from the often asked question - “Can you recommend any good websites that might help teach French ?”

www.scoilnet.ie/french ou www.french.ie aims to provide resource material for teachers and the opportunity to consult pedagogical material online.
