The 2011 Pedagogical Study Guide
A "Town Called Panic" is the 2011/2012 addition to the French Film Project led by a partnership between the French Embassy’s Cultural Service, the Irish Film Institute and the Arts Council. This film is a Belgian stop-motion animation directed by Stéphane Aubier and Vincent Patar, and starring three plastic toys named Cowboy, Indian and Horse.
An entertaining film, the study guide is aimed at the TY and Senior Cycle student of French. It includes comprehension exercises, conversation topics and guidelines on using “Panique au village” as a document for the French Leaving Cert oral exam. Distributed to the teachers of French in Ireland, the study guide is also available on the IFI’s website, as well as all the previous versions created for the French language class those last few years.
This year exceptionally, a new film guide is available in relation with the screening of "Simon Werner a disparu", in Dublin’s French Film Festival. This version is available on the IFI’s website: "Simon Werner a disparu".
