"Two Days, One Night" at the 2019 European Festival for Mental Health [fr]
The French Embassy in partnership with the Embassy of Belgium and the IFI is delighted to be associated with the European Festival of Mental Health for the Irish tour of the film «Two Days, One Night» by the Dardenne brothers (official selection at the Cannes Film Festival 2014) and with Marion Cotillard.
2019 will see a unique edition of the First Fortnight festival, Europe’s Mental Health festival in Ireland, showcasing the vibrancy and diversity of modern Ireland with an emphasis on the European community.
In the profoundly affecting film «Two Days, One Night» by the Dardenne brothers, Oscar winner Marion Cotillard gives a rousing performance. Sandra returns to work after suffering from depression, only to find out that her colleagues have chosen to take a yearly bonus at the expense of her job. She has just one weekend to convince them to change their minds in order to regain her position. What follows is arguably the Dardenne brothers’ greatest cinematic achievement to date.
