2011 - Limerick and Dublin - Exhibition : “Marie Curie (1867 - 1934)”

The Materials and Surface Science Institute at the University of Limerick, the Library at the Institute of Technology Tallaght and Castletymon Library are is hosting in August and September the exhibition "Marie Curie (1867 - 1934)" in partnership with the Embassy of France in Ireland as part of the International Year of Chemistry 2011.

Designed for a wide audience with a bilingual approach (French & English), this exhibition offers the opportunity to discover a little more about the most famous discoveries in chemistry. Twelve posters aim to present the life and work of Marie Curie through pictures and documents given by the Curie Museum in Paris. The panels will take you from her childhood in Warsaw to the Nobel Prizes and other honours she received for her amazing contributions to science.

The exhibition will be open to the public every Monday between 9am and 2pm (apart from August 1, bank holiday).
