Free Lunchtime Concert by Corsican Polyphonic Ensemble
The Polyphonic Singing Ensemble of Calenzana (Corsica) has been planning to visit Ireland for a long time.
There are many similarities between Corsica and Ireland: both islands have a strong attachment to their native soil, people and language.
This lunchtime concert is a great occasion to share their love for music and culture!
Created in 2009 under the initiative of passionate musicians and singers, the ensemble is directed by Jean Sébastien ORSINI (Corsican musician, singer and composer).
It is made up of about 20 singers from different musical backgrounds: lyrical, jazz, folk... and musicians.
Its repertoire is mainly composed of traditional polyphonic songs, liturgical and secular music, traditional and contemporary Corsican music and various creations.
